Brunching at a Boutique Cafe

No.Fifty Seven Boutique Cafe, Abu Dhabi

In the peak of scorching Abu Dhabi summers, weekends are all about lazy mornings hiding from the heat and lazier breakfasts. Why not try out this cafe I’ve heard so much about?

Menu

Walking in at a little past noon, the cafe welcomed us with light tones across its decor and the floor to ceiling glass windows radiate enough sunlight to complement and enhance the freshness of the place.

Starting off with an urgent order of coffee, time to explore this menu. Very crisp menu without much confusion and highlighting their signature twists on all the classics.  Burrata Scramble just had to be on the table for the love of burrata and eggs all in one plate – why not! Eggs scrambled to a perfect semi-runny were served with a generous ball of burrata and a sprinkle of zaatar on it. Usually not a fan of sourdough due to its tough borders, need to give a special mention to the grilled sourdough here which was buttered and grilled to just a soft crunch to go with the rest of the elements on the dish.

We also tried the Middle Easter Style Breakfast which had a few interesting flavours coming together. On a bed of pan-fried halloumi, you are served with two poached eggs surrounded by one of the freshest labneh I have had – seriously, I could devour a bowl of just this labneh! The roasted sweet potato dances will with the crunchy cucumber slices. The bouquet of flavours are given a lift with chilli flakes which hit the right spot in Little Hungry Ninja’s heart. I dare you to not lick the plate clean.

Overall, a perfect lazy brunch with fresh food cooked with passion, good coffee, lovely staff and pleasant ambiance. No need for more.
