An Elegant Affair
Some weeks are crazy at work, with family commitments or everything together. To wind down on Friday with some sumptuous Italian in a elegant setting overlooking the Abu Dhabi canal – Head to Roberto’s Brunch in Rosewood.
With fresh light seeping in, surrounded with greens, a subtle play of water views and a sprinkle of purple in the interiors; Roberto’s instantly soothes you down for a tasteful Friday afternoon.
First things first – bread at an Italian restaurant is divine! Roberto’s has not let me down on the magic created with my fluffy friend. Being reasonable and saving space, we dig into the extensive spread of sharing antipasti that arrives at the table.
Burrata with fresh basil, mixed fish tartare, pizza, calamari and much more. The Eggplant Parmigiana is a knock-out of the park with layers of essential hearty flavours and we had to order seconds of this.
Need to give a shout out to the fantastic drinks. I personally went on a non-alcoholic route and the team was serving some mind blowing mocktails. Ninja Tip: Ask for the Rose Garden mocktail and trust me you will not regret it.
As we make our way through the appetizers, we have definitely lost track of which course we are on as the generous menu and team keep bringing fresh flavours to the table. Each dish does not only taste amazing, but complements well with the others on the table. The light flavours of the fusilli were balancing off the rich risotto. The baked seabream with Mediterranean flavours was marrying well with the chicken dish that had a slight kick to it.
Now as the saying goes, saving the best for the last – Roberto’s Brunch menu delivers this with Passionfruit Baba Cake. This moist cake is sliced at the table and served with fresh fruits and raspberry compote, coconut rum ice cream, chocolate sauce and cream. This is glorious and one should not leave without indulging in this.
Definitely a must-go if you are looking to indulge into good food and pleasant ambience. The staff and their attention to detail is the cherry on top.
