Weather is on the mend for cooler evenings, new restaurant in town and an Italian chef with a creative palate – things to run towards even on a week night and exactly what we did this Monday for a sneak peak.
Stefano Conti is a seasoned chef and you don’t need to know his years of experience to accolade for this. One dining experience of his creative menu and his interactive spirit speaks for itself. With a menu full of surprises, Chef Stefano and the guests were ready for an impressive evening.
Mostly an Italian seafood inspired menu, the evening started off with scallops and octopus for appetizers. Stefano has made sure we savoured each bite and appreciated every detail by challenging to find the secret ingredient after each course. What a fun way to know what the palate is enjoying. The entire dining room was always in anticipation for the next dish to taste the next set of flavours. Brilliant!
A few of the many creative twists that made an impression on me were the cheese filling in the ravioli and the lemon compote accompanying the cannoli. The night was filled with laughs and dishes which were absolutely wonderful to see and taste.
